Glenn J. Kashurba, M.D.

Glenn J. Kashurba, M.D. is a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and nationally known writer, speaker and advocate for children and families.

Dr. Kashurba volunteered with the American Red Cross after the crash of Flight 93. He accompanied the heroes' families when they visited the crash site in the days following 9/11. He dedicated the next year to research, write and publish Courage After the Crash. All profits from the book are donated to 9/11 and children's charities.

Dr. Kashurba was honored for his 9/11 work with the prestigious Catcher in the Rye advocacy award at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry's Annual Meeting in San Francisco, California, on October 26, 2002.

In 2005, the American Psychiatric Association recognized Dr. Kashurba for his contributions to the field of psychiatry by bestowing on him the title of Distinguished Fellow.

Dr. Kashurba is the co-chair of a panel of nine experts who writes the enormously popular parenting series, Facts for Families for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). Dr. Kashurba lives in Somerset, Pennsylvania with his three teenage children. His leisure time pursuits include coaching youth sports teams.
